OK Insiders,

If you've been in on the conversations lately, you've been expecting this little sit down talk. For the rest, let me start at the beginning.

A long time ago, on a cold and snowy day in March, a beautiful bouncing baby boy was born to Mr & Mrs. Jack Sanner (now senior, because I'm Jack, Jr.)
Wait a minute, that's going way too far back (unless of course you really WANT to hear about my potty training)

The mission of Caps Lock Praise Band (and Jack Sanner, himself) has always been to support, encourage, & enlarge the body of Christ (aka the church) through using what talents we may have, that being specifically music.

But with this music comes the funky aspect of money. It is hard for me to justify charging money to be given the opportunity to share the free gift of Christ's sacrifice for our sins. The question arises: "Is it appropriate to charge for ministry?"

So, we decided early on NOT TO charge admission for our live concerts & youth rallies, even in the face of our direct costs. As far as we were concerned, 'Heavenly Rewards' always out rank money for our work.

But the expenses to put on a show of this size is staggering. For example, in CAPS Lock Praise Band owned equipment alone we have a cash outlay of at least $20 thousand, not including
the expenses it takes for every performance, or
our home studio, or
the costs & supplies for practise/repairs/maintenance/broken guitar strings, or
99 cent cheeseburgers after the show.

Don't worry, this is not a plea for money. It is exactly the opposite!

Here's the news. Believing that

the church should be the leaders not the followers, &

that our God is the Great Creator of the Universe &

that God owns every cattle on a thousand hills (or "every dollar in a thousand banks" Psalm 50:10 CLV - Caps Lock Version)

We have decided that we will buck the system of the standard secular music business and instead set a new example by GIVING away ALL of our products from this time forth!

Here is what you can look forward to.
We will begin to make available our current catalog of 4 CDs free to download, no catches, simply free.
We will continue to make all live events free of charge to attend, and are working on how to make these events free to the promoters, also.
We are working now on a world-wide broadcast of ministry materials that not only include free music, but also devotional materials, video, and podcasts,
Also we are expanding our reach across the internet by developing social media interaction, online discipleship training, and evangelism campaigns that take advantage of the latest technologies to reach the English speaking world

(because English is the only language we speak, except 'pig latin')

Do you have a hint of the 'step of faith' this is for us! But we believe it will open up doors of opportunity like have never seen before.

This is what the Caps Lock Praise Band Insiders know as 'The Steven Project'.

And Stephen, full of faith and power,
did great wonders and miracles among the people. (Acts 6:8).

I am sickened to hear how internet commerce is being overshadowed by the massive profits of the pornography industry. I am also very saddened by the proliferation of computer gaming that waists our time, our energy, and our ambitions.

It is time to claim
- this technology,
- our youth, and
- all who are alive today for Christ.

Here's where we need your help.
[1] Pray that God will do HIS will through Caps Lock Praise Band & our staff of volunteers.
[2] Pray that God will build a web presence that will set a standard for Christian technologies ministry well into the future.
[3] Pray that God will bring those with the talent, time, and experience in every specific area needed (video creation, social media, SEO, music producing, webmaster, IS specialist, music video producer, ministry partners, counselors, etc, etc.)
[4] Pray that God will draw us closer to Him, so that His face can be seen around the world through all we do.

So there you have it, my heart is on my sleeve, and our plan spelled out for you.

Caps Lock Praise Band is Working Hard

This Is Only A Test - CD coming along nicely, thank you.

Maybe you don't really know how long it takes to complete a serious musical recording project, but certainly the Caps Lock Praise Band is beginning to learn just how long it takes!

Plus, there are all of these kinds of weird things that go into a music CD that don't have much to do with music.

For example... sound effects.

While it is true that some of the band members are known to make very interesting sounds while they sleep, there are often other 'very different' (other than snoring) sound effects needed to complete the upcoming CD.

Now, we won't spill the beans here about all the audio secrets on our upcoming THIS IS ONLY A TEST project. But we do want to tip-our-hat to the great folks who have helped us out with most of the non-musical sounds.

These folks are Partners In Rhyme, and we are grateful for all they do. Visit them for a few funky (or non-funky) Royalty Free Music and Sound Effects (Some are even free for you to use. Cool, huh?)

All He Wants 4 Xmas is a Marshmallow Shooter!

Our own Jack Sanner is...

a few bricks shy of a load

a couple eggs short of a dozen

Why do we say that?

Well, because all he really wants for Christmas is a Marshmallow Shooter.
It's true. Ever since he heard about the contest from Gobala Krishnan, he decided that he can't live with out one. Here's what Jack said in his own words...

"See, I could get one of these Marshmallow Shooters and bring it to our next big concert. Then, like halfway through the show, instead of playing some big screaming guitar solo, I could whip out this thing and start shooting mini marshmallows into the crowd. They'd be like opening their mouths wanting me to feed them! What do think? It's a good idea? Right?" -Jack

Well, we're not so sure. But we thought we had better give you fair warning that if Jack wins this Marshmallow Shooter... Look Out!

Beaver Falls Is The PLACE!

Alright, ya'll. Here's a heads up!

We've got a last minute call to support a great youth rally at the Chippewa Alliance Church in Beaver Falls, PA.

Of course Caps Lock Praise Band will be there for some rockin-worship...

...but the big news is that the traveling group from the Chicago Master's Commission will be there to lead the rally.

How cool is it that they changed their East Coast itinerary to include a stop near Pittsburgh?

These young folks really do it up in Chicago's inner city serving the broken and hurting they find there. Expect them to bring that same strong message of hope in their visit here.

So, I've got some good news and some bad news.

As you know, today is the long awaited day of the first online release

R & R Worship Event Rocked!

So what if your parents thought "R & R" stood for 'rest and relaxation'?

We all knew it stood for 'Rock-N-Roll'! And we certainly did some 'R & R Worship' that night.

Thanks to the Arlington FMC for allowing us to bring our lights and amps and attitudes. We came to Praise the Living God LOUD. And that is exactly what happened.

It was cool all the local stores (and pizza shops) that donated all the great give-aways. And thanks to Freq107 for getting the word out, too.

We had a blast, thanks for all who came. Rumor has it another R & R Worship Event is in the works. The folks at FUSION YOUTH sure know how to throw a party, huh?
